A Creative Journey for teen students
These classes are designed to offer opportunity for high school students to practise their art-making and learn new skills and techniques for expressing ideas. Learners will improve visual literacy through making art that communicate ideas in words and imagery. This 6 week program will enable students to develop an artwork from concept-to-product, alongside reflective attitudes and further development of a visual diary
Activities include drawing, composing an artwork with colour, form and line. We will develop a folio of drawings and design activities using a range of techniques and materials. Lots of fun- special results.
Limited to 10 students ensures optimal learning.
Venue
Art Club Studio, 13b Bultje Street Dubbo
ArtClubDub workshops are designed for a rich creative experience. Our small group studio environment will enable participants to develop confidence with various graphic techniques.
Payment options

Your Tutors
Kieth Yap is a Visual Arts educator with Bachelor of Art Education (Hons) from the College of Fine Arts, UNSW Art & Design. Kieth contributes to academic, professional and community projects. He understands creative education is a powerful motivator and that self-expression is important in the holistic development of students.
Director and tutor Jack Randell has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Honours, College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. Jack is an award-winning visual artist whose practice includes painting, film, public art, exhibition curation and large-scale expressive murals. Jack has exhibited widely in Australia and overseas with work in public and private collections.
Our contracted tutors are qualified artists and educators, and all have Working With Children Checks. Our learning approach is patient and practical, using demonstration to bring out the best for each student.
Our learning agreement
The learner is asked to participate in a cooperative manner, showing respect to the tutor and fellow learners. The group will engage in practical studio-based activities and participants must show care for the equipment supplied and the premises occupied. The learner will be shown how to clean and store equipment and will be expected to do so, by way of good studio practice. In a creative environment, coercive or aggressive behaviour is unacceptable. The learner should report concerns on these points to the tutor or parent immediately should they occur. Breaches may result in the learner forfeiting their place in the program.

Learners, tutors, parents, carers, and visitors are asked to contribute to and be aware of our Child Safe Policy that states our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of child learners and others in our care.
From time to time we take photos during class of students and artworks. These photos are used for Art Club’s promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials, and website. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for ArtClubDub. As a Condition of Enrolment your consent is implied. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos of you, your child or your artwork please notify us in writing.
Cancellation up to 2 weeks before the commencement of the class will incur a $50 admin fee.
Cancellation after 2 weeks before class start can be a credit toward another class.
