Program
Join us for this new Illustration class.
You will learn how to draw subjects from nature with clarity and purpose. With expert guidance you will develop an understanding of how to see and render form and texture in pen and ink, with watercolour wash.
Each class will explore different subjects through a proven staged process. You will take home some truely valuable skills, as well as a finished nature study and a renewed energy to explore more subjects of your own choosing.
Each session will wrap up with some reflection, expert demonstration, questions and answers from the tutor.
This is strictly a small group, limited numbers. Book early.
All materials and equipment supplied.

Studio Learning Environment
Art Club events are designed for a rich creative experience. Our small group workshops offer attentive tuition in an Atelier studio environment that will enable participants to develop confidence through painting and drawing with accessible graphic techniques.
Venue: ArtClub Studio 13b Bultje Street, Dubbo (next to Fast Lane Coffee).

Your Tutor
Susan Yaghjian has a rich family background in the arts. Her father Edmund was the Head of Art at the University of South Carolina. Her mother was an artist as is her brother.
Her love of nature can be seen in the subjects of her painting and drawing. We get a lens on her subjects that is a studied clarity perhaps from her time as a high school science teacher.
Susan has had many commissions and was recently an Artist in Residence at Stuart Town. She is looking forward to upcoming exhibitions that will bring her delightful compositions to new audiences.
Our learning agreement
By enrolling in ArtClubDub, you agree to participate in a cooperative manner, showing respect to the tutor and fellow learners. The group will engage in practical studio-based activities and participants must show care for the equipment supplied and the premises occupied.
You will be shown how to clean and store equipment and will be expected to do so, by way of good studio practice. In a creative environment, coercive or aggressive behavior is unacceptable.
You should report concerns on these points to the tutor immediately should they occur. Breaches may result in forfeiting your place in the program. Confidentiality is assured.

Terms and Conditions In Brief
The learner is asked to participate in a cooperative manner, showing respect to the tutor and fellow learners. The group will engage in practical studio-based activities and participants must show care for the equipment supplied and the premises occupied. The learner will be shown how to clean and store equipment and will be expected to do so, by way of good studio practice.
In a creative environment coercive or aggressive behaviour is unacceptable. The learner should report concerns on these points to the tutor or parent immediately should they occur. Breaches may result in the learner forfeiting their place in the program.
From time to time we take photos during class of students and artworks. These photos are used for Art Club’s promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for ArtClubDub. As a Condition of Enrolment your consent is implied. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos of you, your child or your artwork please notify us in writing.
Cancellation up to 2 weeks before the commencement of the class will incur a $25 admin fee.
Cancellation after 2 weeks before class start will be a credit toward another class.
