Explore Gills unique approach to acrylic abstract painting to create your own !
We start by developing an understanding of how to prepare a safe and comfortable workspace. Then we discover the fundamentals of how to develop your own visual language using line, shape, and colour. Learn how to mix acrylic colours, making up more paint than needed and preserving the mixed paint. Learn how to use a colour wheel to bring life to your canvas.
Learn Gill’s methods to channel story, character, and emotion into your painting.
All materials supplied, take home notes, and a ready-to-hang canvas. Lots of fun- special results.
This is a one-day class with a short lunch break- feel free to bring your own lunch or there are eateries near the Art Club studio. Light refreshments will be served.
All levels catered for fun and creative connections.
Materials and equipment are supplied at Art Club In-Studio classes. You will develop a portfolio of notes and take home an individual, unique art work at the end of the program.
Gill’s class will run concurrently with an exhibition of new paintings.
Places are limited to ensure optimal learning.
Studio Learning Environment
Art Club events are designed for a rich creative experience. Our small group workshops offer attentive tuition in an Atelier studio environment that will enable participants to develop confidence through painting and drawing with accessible graphic techniques.
Venue: ArtClub Studio 13b Bultje Street Dubbo.

Our learning agreement
By enrolling in ArtClubDub, you agree to participate in a cooperative manner, showing respect to the tutor and fellow learners. The group will engage in practical studio-based activities and participants must show care for the equipment supplied and the premises occupied.
You will be shown how to clean and store equipment and will be expected to do so, by way of good studio practice. In a creative environment, coercive or aggressive behavior is unacceptable.
You should report concerns on these points to the tutor immediately should they occur. Breaches may result in forfeiting your place in the program. Confidentiality is assured.

Cancellation up to 2 weeks before the commencement of the class will incur a $25 admin fee.
Cancellation after 2 weeks before class start will be a credit toward another class.

From time to time we take photos during class of students and artworks. These photos are used for Art Club’s promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website.
These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for ArtClubDub. As a Condition of Enrolment your consent is implied. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos of you, your child or your artwork please notify us in writing.
